Disappointment.

Disappointment. A feeling many people have more than they would like to. Most commonly from a conflict in a friend/relationship, a tough loss in a sports game, not getting "your way", or getting a poor mark on a test that you thought you would "ace". Some people have different ways of dealing with disappointment than others. For example, some people would try to find out what they did wrong, and find a way to fix it so it wouldn't happen again. Some redirect it at something or someone else. I usually deal with disappointment by finding out what i did wrong, then I find way or ways to fix it and not let it happen again.

Passion.

Passion. A word used to often describe a person's love or enthusiasm for a particular subject. This subject could be anything like a person's sexual desire, a sport a person loves, or a social subject that a person is very enthusiastic in spreading awareness for, like autism. For me, my main passion is hockey. (like most Canadians) Although autism awareness is another subject I'm passionate about, I'm more passionate about hockey.

Stress.

Stress is often the most talked about subject in our lives. No matter how it effects us, by work, school, friendships, relationships, it does take it's toll on many peoples lives. For me, stress is usually from school and friends. But it also comes from my family as well. Mainly cause of how well I did on my report cards from past years, to how they are now. Usually it doesn't effect me as much as it does for others, but there have been times when it really effects me a lot. Ways i often deal with stress is by changing my focus to something else. Or by listening to music. Or by taking a moment to relax and refocus.

What it means to be a Totem/student at ACSS.

Being a student at ACSS I believe is a privilege that many do not get. Although ACSS is not well known for it's Athletic teams, like some other schools, ACSS has access to facility's that most schools do not. Like only 2 other schools (at least from what i know) have access to an ice rink for hockey programs. Many other schools also don't have teachers and staff that are as committed to the success of their students as ACSS does. ACSS is well known by some for it's commitment to giving back to the community in which it's located. For example, ACSS in the past,  has made more donations to various charities than any other school in it's school district. This to me is what it means to be a totem/ a student at ACSS.
